My brain hurts. I have been in professional development meetings the last two days and boy am I tired. Our high school is going PBL extroardinare!! That stands for Project Based Learning, and it takes a lot of creativity to get it all going. The idea is to push critical thinking skills and prepare students for the 21st century by having them tackle "real world" problems in the classroom. They then go out into the community and actually present their ideas to real professionals. WOW! It's exciting and there are a lot of great project ideas out there. The brain work on the teacher's part is tremendous and I'm feeling a little bit overwhelmed. I'll let you know how things turn out in the coming semester. School starts on Monday.
