Florida Pictures!

Life's a beach at COCOA BEACH, FL
Doesn't this look like it came right out of Bay Watch!

Nate rented a surf board for a day. The waves weren't huge, but he rode a few!
Aw, to be boogie boarding again. Catching a wave sure is thrilling!

Dad never could get the kite to fly : (

Kennedy Space Center was Amazingly Interesting and very Educational! Too Cute!
They were supposed to launch the shuttle while we were there, but it was canceled due to technical difficulties :( This is what it looks like all ready to go. The little white rocket tip you see, there's actually two attatched to the shuttle, releases before the shuttle goes beyond the atmosphere and gets reused. The orange rocket takes the shuttle into space and deteriorates in the atmosphere. You can't see the actuall shuttle here.

MOM the astronaut
This little capsule is what the Apollo astronauts came home in. The other parts (by the way, they're absolutely HUGE) burn up or get left in space.

This was in the international space station "factory." It says, some Assembly Required! (I don't even know how long they've been working on it!
